Hi there!

I grew up on the Kitsap Peninsula and spent the better part of my childhood around horses, goats, chickens, cats, dogs and more.  You name it, I was around it and I loved them all! I would sneak into the pasture, hop onto one of the quarter horses and lay on their back and watch the world go by. I reflect on those experiences often and see a direct correlation between animals and a healthy relationship built on a foundation of connection and trust.  Watching the domestic animals and wildlife was fascinating to me. There is something in me that has always been drawn to animals and the special unique relationships we are able to share.

My passion for animals and dogs has continued throughout my lifetime.  As an adult I began to help friends with problems they were having with their dogs.  Soon I was taking referrals and decided to follow my passion and work with dogs full time. I work with all ages, all breeds, and I especially enjoy working with puppies! My goal is to help build confidence in both the dog and the human as well as foster a better relationship and communication.  Through behavior modification I am able to teach about healthy love, setting boundaries, patience, relationship, and trust.

Whether in a class, private or out and about setting, I work with dogs and owners to teach and develop age-appropriate skills for both in and outside of the home. I often do home visits and help with setting up the home environment as well as building essential skills to create a happy, healthy, long-term relationship. I enjoy creating individualized programs that will guide owners through the challenging phases of puppyhood and beyond.

I am a certified K9 Nosework Instructor, certifier for AKC CGC/Trick Dog/FETCH and have a certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University on Washington.

I believe relationship and engagement are the most valuable tools when training a dog.  Creating a relationship where you are more important than anything in the environment and laying a strong solid foundation. Every dog is different, and every relationship develops at a different pace.
